Excelsior Adana

1986 bay Trakehner mare by Elfenglanz (Imp) out of Excelsior Adjana.  Adana is the last mare by Elfenglanz left in the world.  She has some lovely old bloodlines and produces the most spectacular, typey foals.  All of her progeny inherit her lovely quiet temperament and are very willing to please.

Adana was euthanised in September 2012 due to ongoing health issues, she was 26 years old.

This mare is the dam of the lovely stallion "Oakleys Absolution" by Taywoona Qovou.

The gray mare Elfe is the matriarch of her Trakehner line. She was one of the incredible horses who survived the W.W.II "Trek" from East Prussia to West Germany. Her daughter Elfengluck was bred to Magnet to produce Elfenquelle, Emeer. s dam, and full brother Elfenglanz, an approved Trakehner stallion who competed in FEI dressage before being returned to stud in 1982. The Elfe family is known for graceful movement, gracious disposition and uncomplicated character.

Adana's sire Elfenglanz (imp) produced Annaglanz, bred by Grand Prix judge and FEI rider Vicky Brydon. Elfenglanz was an imported Trakehner stallion competing at GP with West Australian Sally Leigh Woods. Annaglanz is out of Alpha II, dam of Mary Hanna’s GP dressage horse Londoner.
