AP Meistersohn 2nd at Peel ODE...his first ever horse trials! A report from his rider, Dorothy Roe:
Well, the little fella (actually he's not that anymore, he's quite a tall fella!) just goes from strength to strength.
He was so good today. We were the first rider in the class. hardly any room to warm up and then bunting next to the arena!! Hmm, not sure about that.
Anyway, a little tense but our best scoring test yet - 65% for 52.3 penalties. Much more relaxed than he has been the canters weren't anything like as 'eventful' as they have been in the past. Once they are 'nailed' he'll be flying through.
We were 3rd after the dressage, 2 people below 50 - a 42 and 43. Clear sj - he was super! and clear xc - no time or jumping. He was really good xc considering it was blowing a gale.
The girl on 42 copped 63 penalties xc and the 43 got 2.8 so he came 2nd! I was wrapt he was double clear jumping.
