Abdullah

AbdullahPEDIGREE

Abdullah combines two of the most famous postwar breeding lines in his pedigree, that of the stallion Pregel on the sire side, and that of  Maharadscha on the mother side. Both with significant Arabian blood lines from the mutual great-grand sire Fetysz ox.As state stud sire in Marbach Pregel had considerable influence on the changes in breeding emphasis to a concentration of riding horses in Baden-Wurttemberg horse breeding. Apart from Donauwind, he brought 8 further approved sons for the Trakehner breed. Abdullah’s sire Donauwind with his characteristics features, is one of the most influential hereditary transmitters of riding horses in Trakehner breeding. Abiza is a Maharadscha daughter, the later having had a considerable effect on Trakehner breeding via his son Flaneur and his grandsons Arogno and Mackensen. In foal with Abdullah, Abiza was sold to Canada, where apart from Abdullah, she produced a further 5 progeny who were successful in international showjumping and eventing, including the approved stallion Amiego (by Handel) Bronze Medal winner of the 3-Day Event at the Pan-American Games, Aida, International Grand Prix winner under the Canadian colours, Archibald, winner of the International 3-Day Event for Canada, Anton, qualified for the 3-Day Event at the Barcelona Olympic Games, and Adrian Grand Prix jumper for the USA.
